Accountants find it difficult to work without the knowledge of this module, ‘Accounts Assistant using Tally’ which needs computer with the software Tally. Another facility is Internet which is gift of science and technology to the mankind. The syllabus is vast enough containing contemporary vital topics like cyber threats and vulnerabilities. The entry qualification for the module ICT701 is 10th standard. That is why candidates are required to invest adequate attention. Consequently instructors are also required to develop the students. While developing this Assessment Handbook, authors have referred books and published papers. The authors have also browsed Internet and have taken materials from websites of repute. The websites have been mentioned in the section ‘References’. Pictures have been selected from ‘Google Image’. The readers are requested to visit the various websites to update their knowledge. At present biometric identification and verification are essential for Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Bank Lockers (Retina), etc. Many academic institutes are recording attendance using biometric means for students and teachers as well. Scientific and technological inventions are acts of human beings. ICT701 topics are for human beings. What is of paramount importance is developing the human beings, for deriving benefits of science and technology, for overcoming barriers on the way. Considering these facts, two sections: Biometrics and ‘Computer Technology and Human Resource’ have been discussed which are not in the syllabus of ICT701. Prescriptions for Better HRM have been proposed in the second section. Conclusive remarks of this section emphasis on human development, changing the mind set, restoring ethics and displaying ethical behaviour, practicing what you preach, building an organisational culture, emphasis to organisational climate, employee grooming on regular basis, assign special tasks to help employees to be multi-skilled, and skill development from school levels.
